For those whose evil has been worn away by fervor, who have gained peace, whose desires are gone, who long to be free, is set forth this Self-Wisdom . - Johnson's translation, Divine Life Press, Chicago 1910

This Self-Knowledge, “Who am I”, Ātma-Bodha, is composed for those who have purified their hearts by tapah (self-discipline), whose hearts abound in tranquility, whose minds are free from the pairs of opposites (such as personal love and hatred), and who have an intense desire to experience Brahman as their own Self. - Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, March 1968

Happy New Year!  For millions worldwide, January is the month of making resolutions. Just before the New Year begins, it is also the time of looking back at the year that was. In many respects, 2018 has been a year of warnings, in some cases, dire warnings. About climate change, about the dangers of artificial intelligence (AI) and new warnings of global financial instability, trade wars, isolationism, covert wars and refugee crises… the list goes on.

On issues where the most alarm-bells went off, climate change stands high with dramatic changes around us such as increased floods, tsunamis, storms, forest fires, record-breaking warming, and destruction of natural habitats and extinction of an untold number of species. In the United States, the fourth national climate assessment¹ released in November 2018 presents an urgent and stark analysis outlining threats posed to population health, water, infrastructure, agriculture, tourism – all 12 topics in the summary report have such a bleak view of the affects of greenhouse gas emissions that even the most ardent skeptics will take a second look. Of course the swift dismissal of this report by the current US administration defies all logic and shows the dystopian Kali Yuga we live in.

In October 2018 the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)² stated that urgent and unprecedented changes are needed and we have just 12 years to act in a very significant way to prevent catastrophic damage and reduce the risk of extreme heat, drought, floods, poverty … a familiar list.

Speaking of AI, in recent years, prominent scientists, physicists and inventors including the late Stephen Hawking, Bill Gates and Elon Musk have issued dire warnings such as AI as being more dangerous than nuclear weapons. Quietly AI and AI-based control systems have perniciously crept into our everyday life. According to the Wall Street Journal³, 85% of all trading in the financial markets is on autopilot – controlled by machines and algorithmic models. Vast data sets in the cloud and Internet are harvested every second including news articles based on which a so called "trading herd" is created "that moves in unison and blazingly fast." (WSJ). During the opening of an AI research center at Oxford in 2015, Hawking expressed that while AI has the potential to eradicate poverty and disease, it can provide new ways for the few to oppress the many. The silver lining is that there are some efforts underway to institute measures that will disallow these technologies to spin out of control and cause harm. (Open AI4)

So what are we supposed to do given such alarms all around us? As Yoga practitioners, teachers and spiritual seekers, what is the unique toolset that we have that we can utilize and help others tackle the advancements and the perils of our time?

This brings us to the 9th century philosopher-sage Shankaracharya who is attributed to have written a highly regarded philosophical text called Atma Bodha. Like many of his works, this text is completely self-contained and examines the nature of life and the truth that is within all of us.

The above cited verse, the first of the 68, indirectly extols the seeker to first clean up their karmic entanglements by engaging in Yogic austerities, calming down the sensory pendulum of reactions to external stimuli (love, hate, despair and jubilation etc.), and then develop an interest in attaining liberation. The key here is to have an interest and intent to be free, and gain true Self-knowledge. But how does one get on a pursuit of the knowledge of the Self. Where is the blueprint for it? Is there an instruction manual? Many wise and otherwise people have pondered on this question for thousands of years. There are so many Yoga related texts, commentaries on those texts and contradictory statements by teachers, saints, philosophers and Popes. In this vast web of spiritual paths and teachings it is easy to get lost or try many paths in a short amount of time and get frustrated because we don't make spiritual progress. In Patanjali's Yoga Sutra, the three ways of attaining knowledge (Pramāna) are

Pratyaksha = direct perception or cognition

Anumāna = inference, reasoning, deduction

Āgamah = authority, testimony, validation, competent evidence

One such Āgamah Shāstra or source text is the Ātma-Bodha, using which as an inspiration, the mechanics of liberation – of freeing oneself from whatever it is that is holding us back, can be used to find a way forward.

Liberation from what one might ask – well, liberation relates to freedom, freedom of the Self. It may not imply physical freedom alone,  actually it's the contrary. Because of our life situation, we may not be free to do whatever we want and physically rid ourselves of our daily responsibilities. That's not the Mumuksha that Shankaracharya is proposing in the verse above. The liberation here being discussed is how we feel about ourselves, inside our mind, our mind-heart and how we interact with the world around us. Are we bound to attachments (often sub-conscious), judgments, and other habitual activities that are harmful to the planet and our fellow human and animal beings?

Jivamukti is a path to enlightenment through compassion for all beings

The first step according to the above verse from Ātma Bodha, is establishing an interest in attaining liberation – at least a gradual freeing of oneself from thoughts, actions, weaknesses and addictions. Setting the Intention is the first step. Creating a sankalpa, focused and sacred intention for liberation, to be able to experience what it is to live like a Jivanmukta.

How can we use the concept of liberation to address the two big warnings about Climate Change and AI?

1. Climate Change: Jivamukti Yoga teachers are activists – spiritual and social activists. Our Yoga toolkit consists of the intelligence and blueprint developed by our teachers to start movements around the world that reduce consumption that harms the planet. This includes food, clothing and shelter – all basic necessities for life. Imagine not being dependent on the global supply chain for any of the basic necessities. Spiritual and social activists always find the solutions such as local farming, sustainable energy production and distribution, inspiring better consumption choices; a Jivamukti teacher recently reported that for the first time she heard within her mainstream and highly successful fashion house, the use of the phrase "Cruelty-Free" production of clothing! These signs point to a better future.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI): Did you ever consider staying off of social media and reducing dependence on technology and smart phones for a month? Recent stories of people who experimented with such a digital detox reported extra ordinary results: such as increased attention span, more time on hands to read and relax, pursue many other hobbies and interests, better relationships with their loved ones and in general being more happy and content. Innovation in this area will come from necessity and having re-experienced the taste of freedom!

(Open AI4)

Was bleibt uns zu tun inmitten all diesen Alarms?

Tucked away in a remote corner of Rügen, amongst wheat fields, paddocks, arrays of bird nests, and bays of the Baltic, at the end of a tiny road, there is small village with a great historic granary, constructed in 1904.

Today the granary has been sensibly restored, keeping most of the details from the old design and thus retaining a generous and enchanting air with bright loft-like spaces that are perfect for practice and relaxation. Just the right space for those who seek to breathe deeply again.

Jivamukti Yoga Rügen Retreat

In addition to the cozy rooms, there are numerous lounges and fireplaces all over the building for hanging out and having interesting conversations as well as quiet alcoves to read a book. In the evenings we can warm ourselves in front of the fireplaces or in the sauna and can also enjoy the view from the big wooden terraces over the virtually untouched nature around us.

Generous 1.000 sqm over two stories, a 150+ sqm loft for yoga classes, huge open style kitchen, saunas and fireplaces, huge terraces: Our 1904 granary which we have exclusively for our groups just embodies freedom, luxury, and coziness. A perfect venue to retreat, detox and immerse into the teachings of Jivamukti Yoga.

Jivamukti Yoga Rügen Retreat

The nearby bird colony and beaches allow for spectacular walks and swims under the big skies of Germany's north. The short walk to the beach alone allows one to dive back into nature. In the evenings, there are a number of places to take it easy: in the sauna, around the fireplaces, or on the many terraces the site has to offer.

Jivamukti Yoga Rügen Retreat

This is the ideal setting to enjoy the clear air in between yoga classes before coming back into our cozy space with Sauna and radiant floor heating, which you might recognize from our Jivamukti Studio in Berlin Mitte.

Jivamukti Yoga Rügen Retreat

Our old yet very modern granary on Rügen is spoiling us with its warm atmosphere, sauna and a lot of space to arrive. In pure and remote nature we can recharge our energies and relax and detox together with Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation in order to leave behind the old year and start fresh in 2019.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: FOR PROLONGING YOUR STAY (INCL. YOGA AND FOOD ON THESE DAYS):
A long weekend is over too fast and we get sad to have to return too quickly, especially considering the travel effort to arrive. For everyone who shares our opinion and is able to invest a bit more time, we rented the granary for 5 days so you can start this retreat softly on Thursday let it fade away into Monday afternoon. We would be thrilled if you are arriving early with us and/or leave later and offer the following options (including additional detox food and yoga program) for a deeper experience:

Arrive 1 day earlier – Thursday from 14:30 on: +99 EUR
This small surcharge includes 1 additional night (plus your chosen room upgrade option), 2 additional yoga classes, 3 additional meals and 24 hours more at the sea. This means a more intimate setting, since usually there are fewer participants, and gives the advantage of arriving during an off-peak time, avoiding the stress of rush hour. See also the preliminary schedule in the drop-down-menu higher above.

Arrive ½ day earlier – Friday from 08:00 on: +45 EUR
This small surcharge includes 1 additional yoga class, 1 additional brunch and a couple of hours more at the sea. Please know that you can move into your room only after 14:00 of your arrival day, even though we try our best to have your rooms ready before. There is a train ride at 4:48 from Berlin that arrives at 8:18 in Samtens. If people book this train, we will adapt the schedule for the morning class accordingly.

Stay ½ day longer – until Sunday evening: +45 EUR
This small surcharge includes 1 additional yoga class + Satsang, 2 additional meals (Tea-time + dinner) and a couple of hours more at the sea for everyone who wants to leave Sunday evening or night. Please be aware that you have to check out from your booked room at 12:00 on your departure day. Although we will try to arrange a late check-out for you, it cannot be guaranteed. The latest train departs at 19:41 from Samtens and will arrive in Berlin at 23:28 or in Hamburg at 23:50.

Stay 1 day longer – until Monday 12:00: +99 EUR
For everyone who wants to leave calmly on Monday, this small surcharge includes 2 additional nights (plus your chosen room upgrade option), 2 additional yoga classes + Satsang, 3 additional meals and 24 hours more at the sea. This means a more intimate setting, since usually there are fewer participants, and with the advantage of arriving during an off-peak time, avoiding the stress of rush hour. See also the preliminary schedule in the drop-down-menu higher above.

Stay 2 full days longer – from Thursday 14:30 until Monday 12:00: +180 EUR
For everyone who wants to arrive and leave calmly on Thursday/Monday, this surcharge includes 2 additional nights (plus your chosen room upgrade option), 4 additional yoga classes + Satsang, 6 additional meals and 48 hours more at the sea. This means a more intimate setting, since usually there are fewer participants, and with the advantage of arriving during an off-peak time, avoiding the stress of rush hour. See also the preliminary schedule in the drop-down-menu higher above.

LOYALITY DISCOUNTS: 18 EUR discount for these reasons (cumulative): (1) You have an ongoing Jivamukti Berlin Unlimited contract. (2)You have been part of one (or more) Jivamukti Yoga Retreats (sorry, only 1x 18 EUR discount, even though you have been part of numerous retreats) (3) You are a registered Jivamukti Yoga Teacher.

OPTIONAL TRAVEL SERVICES THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE BASE PRICE:

CANCELLATION AND CURTAILMENT INSURANCE: As we do need to be able to depend on your booking, there is a cancellation fee charged if you cannot take part in the retreat/intensive booked due to reason out of our control (like sickness etc.). Please read the details in the registration form on this. This is why we strongly recommend that you book a cancellation and curtailment insurance (starts under 20 EUR and is one of the three best curtailment insurances, by Stiftung Warentest), which you can either do in the registration form or by clicking here.

▲▼ WHAT IS A JIVAMUKTI IMMERSION?

A Jivamukti Yoga Immersion takes the student deeper into the study of Jivamukti Yoga and its five tenets: Ahimsa, Scripture, Meditation, Nada and Bhakti, as well as Asana. Jivamukti's passionate focus on the original meaning of the Sanskrit word "asana"—as seat, connection, relationship to the earth is as practical as it is radical during this time of global crisis and consciousness shift.

The Immersion is perfect for those wishing to delve into the practical and mystical practices of Jivamukti Yoga. A Jivamukti Immersion provides great opportunities to make breakthroughs in asana practice, detox your body/ heart/ mind, and more deeply integrate your individual self with the greater reality.

Because of the world-wide popularity of Jivamukti Yoga, Immersions attract students from all over the world, enabling you to meet new friends from many diverse places, building stronger yoga communities locally and globally.

Jivamukti Yoga is a practice that transforms the individual by means of spiritual activation. Through its practices we can as members of a greater, world-wide community dismantle this present culture and begin to build a new way of life—where peace, love and harmony among all beings forms the foundation. We don’t have time to wait for enlightenment, alone in isolated caves or yoga bubbles—now is the time to become spiritually activated so that we can see what we have known in our hearts all along—that what we do to the world we ultimately do to ourselves. —Sharon Gannon

▲▼ WHICH PROGRAM CAN YOU EXPECT?

The Jivamuti Immersion program draws directly from the Jivamukti Teacher Training Program, the "Gold Standard of teacher trainings" (Time Out, NYC), which means that the facilitators of this Jivamukti Yoga Immersion will teach parts from the Teacher Training schedule in its most up-to date version but in a more relaxed and less formal way that leaves more room to dive deep into the teachings, enjox and relax.

For the Berlin Immersions, we always compile a quite special and rather intensive program which usually is one of the most extensive and comprehensive programs of the year. In addition to intensive asana classes and workshops, you will benefit from asana and teaching skills practicals, lectures on yoga philosophy and theory, meditations, statsang and kirtan.

The 2019 Berlin Immersion will have a special focus on the yogic pratices for Enlightenment through yoga asana, yogic scriptures and other techniques as codified by Sharon Gannon and David Life in the Jivamukti Yoga method. You will learn invaluable tools that help you on this path as a yoga student as well as to help and teach others, also as a (current or future) yoga teacher.

With their Yoga DVDs and the books "Jivamukti Yoga" (also translated into German, Russian & Italian), "The Art of Yoga", "Yoga and Vegetarianism", "Cats and Dogs are People, too!", "Simple Recipes for Joy", Sharon and David are changing the way that people view spirituality, life, themselves, each other, animals and the environment.

Sharon Gannon David LifeSHARON GANNON started her quest for liberation upon her birth on July 4th in Washington, DC. Pattabhi Jois, Swami Shankarananda, Shyam Das and Bhagavan Das. She brings a rare blend of scholarly study, artistic pursuits and a highly disciplined asana and meditation practice to her offerings as a teacher.

DAVID LIFE: Bios are hard for me to digest. The idea that a picture could be painted of me with some little list of factoids is untenable. The only thing that gives me credibility as a yoga teacher is the graceful association with my teachers. Sometimes I like to read bios because it tells me things about a person that I didn't know and to that end, here is a list of all the significant jobs that have come my way over the past 60 years, in order: Lawnmowing and snowshoveling, Paper delivery, Beer and Wine store stockboy, Forklift driver in Corrugated box company, Phone order taker, Dishwasher, Cafeteria manager, Welder in Steel Mill Apartment building super, Silk screen production and designer, Graphic designer, Illustrator, Artist, Poet, Life Cafe owner, Yoga teacher, Bio writer!

JIVAMUKTI YOGA, founded by Sharon Gannon and David Life, is one of the fastest growing and most highly regarded modern approaches to the ancient art of yoga. Both have certified hundreds of students to teach the Jivamukti method through the intense one month residential 300 hour Teacher Training course which is offered each year in the US, Costa Rica and/or Europe/India. With their Yoga DVDs and the books "Jivamukti Yoga", "The Art of Yoga", "Yoga and Vegetarianism", "Cats and Dogs are People, too!", "Simple Recipes for Joy", Sharon and David are changing the way that people view spirituality, life, themselves, each other, animals and the environment.

Anja KühnelANJA KÜHNEL has been a devoted student of Sharon Gannon and David Life since she first met them while temporarily living in New York. She has been directing the two Berlin Jivamukti Yoga Centers and their Jivamukti Apprenticeship Teacher Training program since 2008. After 15 years of study with Sharon and David, Anja is more than grateful for all she has learned and all that she is still going to learn. Anja has been practicing yoga with teachers of various yoga styles and has traveled the world to do so. But in her heart, Anja knew immediately after her first Jivamukti class, that it was where she belonged. She teaches at her two Berlin Jivamukti Yoga Centers, is regularly invited as a guest teacher worldwide and leads the 800-hour Jivamukti Apprenticeship Teacher Training Program in Berlin. She has also been a regularly invited to mentor and facilitator at the international Jivamukti Teacher Trainings.

"The only thing that gives me credibility as a yoga teacher is the graceful association with my teachers." - David Life

Everyone is talking about Sharon & David's Jivamukti Yoga method….
“Sharon Gannon und David Life who founded their own yoga method called Jivamukti Yoga in the late 80ies and, with it, made Yoga for the first time ever socially acceptable for western urban dwellers. Among their students are Sting, Madonna, Christy Turlington and basically all other non-overweight famous american actors and musicians. Many speak about them as Gurus. With their mixture of old Indian tradition and modern lifestyle like rock music they were the ones who were majorly responsible for the Yoga boom, which from New York has long spilled over to Germany: Three million Germans are said to regularly practice Yoga these days ... in Berlin-Mitte it appear to be two million alone.'
--Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, Germany
"David Life looks like Iggy Pop, is widely tatooed, has an incredible power in his stringy tiny arms and the great luck to have a woman on his side who has a delphine blue streak in her black hair and who is radiating a mild wisdom that makes one want to start crying immediately as soon as she opens her mouth. With their headsets, the two contrive to get every hall to boil.... – Oh My Guru!"
--DIE WELT, Germany
“..holistic vision extending to strict vegetarianism and hard-core animal rights activism'
--Vanity Fair USA
“David and Sharon have inspired and encouraged us to think of yoga not just as a system of exercises but also as a door to the infinite.”
--Sting
"It has the full package, more than just exercise. I always learn something at Jivamukti; they really educate the students."
-- Christy Turlington
“Without Sharon and David, yoga in the US would still be the obscure practice of a few devotees.”
--The New York Times, USA
“The pioneers of yoga in the United States, inspire us to appreciate life’s depth and breadth.”
--25, Japan
“Jivamukti Yoga offers the tantalizing promise of not only a well-toned body, but salvation too.”
--Hinduism Today, USA
“Es handelt sich dabei um eine kraftvolle Praxis, die Körper und Intellect stimuliert und zu spirituelleum Bewusstsein führen möchte.”
--Yoga Aktuell, Germany
“Meshing the spiritual and psychological elements of yoga with the physical ones, Jivamukti yoga forces students to confront both their bodily and emotional limitations.”
--Harpers and Queens, UK
“Lean, flexible, vegetarian, poetry writing, theosophist, celestial American yogis…their salutes to the sun are done by the stars.”
--Sunday Morning Post, Hong Kong
"These two pioneers, (Sharon Gannon and David Life) are consummate showmen as well as shamans, injecting yoga with a healthy dose of New York Chutzpah along the way."
--Vanity Fair USA
“Meet the innovators, David Life and Sharon Gannon are American originals who are shaping yoga today. Looking for a highly meditative but physically challenging form of yoga? Try jivamukti.”

--Yoga Journal USA
"Once you make Jivamukti yoga part of your life, you will look different to the world and the world will look different to you"

- -Yogi Times USA

Wild Woodstock Retreat

OUR LOCATION FOR THE YOGA CLASSES AND EVENTS:
Jivamukti Yoga co-founders Sharon Gannon and David Life open part of their home in Woodstock, NY (USA) for this special retreat. Here they have established the magical Wild Woodstock Forest Sanctuary. This space also holds a beautiful intimate yoga shala right next to their house where all yoga classes and events of this retreat will be held.

The Wild Woodstock Jivamukti Forest Sanctuary is a magical 125-acre landscape established in 2003 and located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains near Woodstock in upstate New York (about 2 hours north of New York City and 3.5 miles from downtown Woodstock).

The Sanctuary serves as a safe haven and unpolluted habitat for diverse plant and animal communities, including white tail deer, black bear, foxes, porcupines, possums, raccoons, turkeys, as well as a large variety of wild birds, fish, snakes and other reptiles and amphibians. In present culture, the word wild is usually used to mean "chaotic" or "disorganized," but the word actually means "living true to one's nature; not restrained, controlled or tamed by others." The quest for enlightenment is a quest for wildness—to return to the natural state in which we know ourselves as one with all that is and we live that truth fully.

Sharon Gannon often teaches that we can have anything we want so long as we are willing to provide it to others first. She and David Life live that teaching by having established and by maintaining the Wild Woodstock Jivamukti Forest Sanctuary, which is the country ashram for the Jivamukti Yoga School.

Wild Woodstock Retreat

YOUR ACCOMMODATION DURING THIS RETREAT will be provided in handpicked high quality properties/houses in the Woodstock area. All houses are shared (2 to 5 twin/double or single rooms in one property), i.e. you will share a common living area, a fully equipped self-catered kitchen and 1 to 3 bathrooms with up to 4-10 other retreat participants (depending on the size of the house, number of single rooms booked etc.). All properties and rooms are individual with their special treats so it is hard to compare them. We also offer a number of optional upgrades to the standard accommodation to better suit your individual requirements. Check registration form for details.

Wild Woodstock Retreat

BOARD DURING THIS RETREAT: All houses come with well equipment self-catered kitchens and are strictly vegan, i.e. no diary, egg or meat products may be brought into any of the houses.  The idea of this retreat is to also create a Satsang experience by cooking together delicious vegan meals in groups of likeminded vegan yogis. All houses will be equipped with a copy of Sharon Gannon’s cookbook “Simple Recipes for Joy”. For days/nights out, there are also some very nice vegan restaurants in Woodstock.

▲▼ GENERAL INFO ON THE YOGA PROGRAM & OTHER ACTIVITIES

Sharon Gannon David Life Woodstock Retreat

BEING WILD, the underlying theme of this first of its kind retreat, in present culture, is usually used to mean "chaotic" or "disorganized". But the word actually means "living true to one's nature; not restrained, controlled or tamed by others". The quest for enlightenment is a quest for wildness - to return to the natural state in which we know ourselves as one with all that is and we live that truth fully. Reaching this state actually requires the oposite of "chaos" and "disorganization": A regular intensive yoga practice, not only asana wise but also by studying the other legs of yoga and having satsang with other like minded yogis and most importantly, your teachers.

Sharon Gannon David Life Woodstock Retreat

This is why we have designed this one of a kind Jivamukti Yoga Intensive Retreat in Woodstock in order to provide you the opportunity to immerse for up to two weeks in intensive dalily study and practice right from the source with the founders of the Jivamukti Yoga method. Every morning of this retreat, Sharon Gannon and/or David Life will teach a 4 hour intensive Jivamukt Yoga workshop from 10am to 2pm (ca. 3 hour asana practice and ca. 1 hour yoga philosophy teachings). These workshop style morning classes will be complemented by daily 2hour Jivamukti Yoga Open XL classes with Jivamukti Yoga Berlin director Anja Kuehnel and occassionally also other international Jivamukti Yoga teachers in the late afternoon and, occasionally Satsangs, Kirtans and other special events with Sharon Gannon, David Life, Anja Kuehnel and other presenters.

Sharon Gannon David Life Woodstock Retreat

Special Bonus Events: Approximately 1-2 times per week, we hope to offer special events in the late afternoon/evening, such as Satsangs or Kirtans or Yoga Philosophy lectures with Sharon Gannon, David Life and other presenters, which in some cases due to time constraints will be offered INSTEAD of the afternoon Open XL class (i.e. sometimes no Open XL class on special events days). Once during each of the two weeks of this retreat, we invite you to a Karma Yoga session to benefit the Wild Woodstock Forrest Sanctuary area. Exact daily schedule TBA at the retreat venue.

Sharon Gannon David Life Woodstock Retreat

Please note for your planning: On the arrival days there is NO morning class nor Q&A conference with Sharon Gannon and/or David Life, i.e. the first class on your arrival day is the afternoon class with Anja. This also applies if your arrival day is August 18 even though Sharon and David teach on this day in the morning, as this class is only for the people who also booked Part I of the retreat. On August 17 and 25 (final days), there is no evening class with Anja, last class on August 17 and 25 is the morning workshop with Sharon Gannon and/or David Life from 10am-2pm. If you booked both weeks, August 17 in the evening and August 25 in the morning provides a welcome opportunity to take "a day off" and explore Woodstock and its surroundings. For instance, you could visit Ananda Ashram or the Farm Sanctuary. Or go swimming.

As normal with renowned teachers like Sharon Gannon and David Life, the practice space included in this retreat strictly is the size of one regularly sized yoga mat (ca. 0,65x1,8m) only. All practice spots are marked and mats must be placed within the markers. You should bring your own yoga mat as there are only a limited number of rental mats. The yoga room has blankets and straps for your use. It also has a limited number of blocks. If you anticipate using blocks, please bring your own, as we cannot guarantee to have enough for everyone.

Accept us both together, protect us both together, may our knowledge and strength increase together, may we not resent each other.

Dear ones,

I am thanking all of you for making an effort to create the time and space to be together! We hold precious and dear in our hearts whatever we put our energy into. It is 100% up to us. Life is pulling us in all these different directions. It is wonderful that we are all meeting here at Sharon ji's and David ji's beautiful home and at the sanctuary they have created for the animals, plants and us human people, and that all of us together get the chance to immerse into our practice in this beautiful natural environment which is supporting us on all levels. This year Wild Woodstock will be very special as we beginn on a New Moon and end on a Full Moon. And for me personally, it will the the 11th time in a row that I am coming to Wild Woodstock.

Let us put all of our love into what we do! Let us always remind each other that this is what truly matters in life. To uplift each other, to enjoy each other's company, to learn from each other, to see the beauty in each moment and to be grateful for the gift of life. Putting our prāṇa in what we truly care about: to be as natural and loving as one can possibly be, taking rest in our true nature, to truly be free and to serve with each breath.

May all beings everywhere be happy and free and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.

Love.
Anja
